12th June 2014Category: General
We are really excited that Helen Statham from Cumberland Newsgroup is spending the day 'In a Carer's Shoes' today, Thursday, 12th June.
Helen will be providing a commentary on life as a Carer and highlighting some of the issues and difficulties that Carers can face. She will be tweeting through the day and writing a substantial article to support her experience.
Helen is spending the day with Billy and Edna from Cockermouth who care for their son, Nicholas, who has Cerebral Palsy and a learning disability. Nicholas has significant care needs, needs a lot of support and Helen will be experiencing first hand how it is to be a Carer.
Throughout today Helen will be tweeting of her experiences on https://twitter.com/_HelenStatham
Help to publicise Carers Week and West Cumbria Carers by following Helen and sharing her link with your friends and neighbours to spread the good work Helen is doing today.
A big thank you to Helen and the Cumberland News Group for their wonderful support and to all other organisations who are tweeting and retweeting to support us today.
